Anyway I think I'll pick it up and a new 5 port switch on monday. Ive generated all the certs and keys I need for both the client and server and Im confident that. The problem is that Im having the darndest time getting it to work. Im using DD-WRT firmware, v24-sp2 (10/10/09) vpn ( SVN revision 13064), on both. ![]() It's not like I plan to be in the router for any great deal of time anyway. My task is to setup a site-to-site, bridged VPN between two, eventually more, WRT54GL routers. I'd go with Tomato first, and if you don't find that enough for you, then spin DD-WRT for a bit. The biggest thing I appricated back in the day about Tomato firmware was its ability to only restart a service, while DD-WRT required a reboot of the router, it was pretty sweet to update my firewall on the fly and not interupt my netz. Furthermore, you can find the Troubleshooting Login Issues section which can answer your unresolved problems and equip you with a lot of relevant information. For all the samples here I am using 192.168.40.1 as the address of my DD-WRT router. I was introduced to Tomato last year, I think, and I have really, really liked the Tomato firmware over DD-WRT, even after watching DD-WRT grow and add new stuff over the year. I have multiple Asus RT-16N routers that I run DD WRT Version 24-SP2 Big on, and wanted to load this utility on each of them. Tomato is really nice, DD-WRT has gotten really bloated over time, I used to use it back in the day when playing around with firmwares. ![]()
